Let’s Tidy our Town Together

With Perth & Kinross Council scaling back street cleaning, the Community is coming together to do the job themselves! There are very many individuals and small groups around in Crieff who already undertake occasional litter picking on their own. To really get the town back into shape though, we need something a little more co-ordinated, so we have launched a voluntary Crieff Litter Pick led by Mark Hunter.
All equipment except gloves will be provided — litter pickers, sacks, brooms and bright safety jackets or tabards. The rendezvous will usually be in James Square but do keep an eye the relevant Facebook Pages below. Children seem to love litter-picking and who knows — it might set up a pattern for a life in which they’ll be part of a new Keep Scotland Clean generation! With the youngsters in mind, we’ll tell you if any picking sessions are near a road or are deemed unsafe for them.
